A GRAIN OF RICE (AGOR)
Rethink Healthy Living
A Grain Of Rice was founded in 2019 with the intention of creating a meaningful impact by connecting people with natural, wholesome products while supporting initiatives that enrich lives and strengthen our communities—one grain at a time.
Life is beautiful, and to truly embrace it, we believe in the importance of a healthy body and a healthy mind.
At A Grain of Rice Private Limited, we’ve spent the past five years promoting healthy living through various initiatives aimed at improving lifestyles with wellness and mindfulness at their core. Our guiding principle: Live Better, Enjoy Good Health. Some of the initiatives include charity events, cultural exchanges in overseas, Knowledge of Nature empowers us to live well, Sustainable food practices etc
Sharing and Community
Sharing and Community
We spent months to organize a one-day charity event for underprivileged families, bringing together Singapore’s iconic food stalls and restaurants to serve complimentary meals.
With the support of sponsors and guests, the event was a heartwarming success. The host of the event was Foodgen2 and it was graced by Minister Josephine Teo.
The event reinforced the value of sharing and the profound impact it has on communities. Good food nourishes the body, but sharing it nourishes the soul, making us all better individuals.
															Charity
Inspired by the belief that food connects people, we organized charity events both locally and in overseas for underprivileged families, uniting Singapore’s most beloved food stalls and restaurants to serve complimentary meals for those in need.
Thanks to the generous support of sponsors and guests, all the initiatives became a heartwarming celebration of kindness and solidarity.
These events reminded us that food is more than sustenance—it’s a bridge that brings people together, strengthens communities, and nourishes both body and soul.
Cultural Exchange
We travelled to traditional villages in Indonesia, where we shared Singaporean cuisine with the local community, preparing iconic dishes such as chilli crab, lobster spaghetti, sambal fish, curry lamb, fried rice, and roasted pork. In return, we immersed ourselves in their rich cultural traditions, from temple celebrations and cockfighting to learning about Indonesia architecture and wood carving.
Through this exchange, we fostered mutual understanding and celebrated the coexistence of diverse cultures. Sharing food connects us across borders, making every meal a bridge between worlds.
Knowledge of Nature
We undertook the development of a 6,000-square-meter theme park in Sentosa, preparing for the creation of an Owl Park that would showcase 72 species of owls. Our vision included a thoughtfully designed facility where visitors could observe the owls in their natural, nocturnal habitat, without disturbing them. We planned unique accommodations with full height one-way glass, allowing guests to watch the owls during their most active hours, all while preserving the owls’ comfort and well-being.
Alongside the park, we envisioned an immersive museum featuring interactive exhibits and galleries dedicated to the history and significance of these majestic birds.
Although the project was ultimately halted due to the pandemic, our commitment to the idea remains strong. We believe that deepening our understanding of nature enriches our lives and leads to better health. Knowledge empowers us to live well.
Sustainable Food Practices
We are committed to promoting sustainable food sources, distributing responsibly farmed products such as wine, food ingredients and plant-based food. We added another choice of food with new unconventional sources.
Through educational talks, exhibitions, and free samples, we have encouraged the adoption of plant-based alternatives, with the hope that by 2030, these foods will become widely accepted. Sustainable choices today lead to a healthier tomorrow for both people and the planet.
41 Degrees North....... Our Journey to the Source of Natural Goodness
In our quest for healthy food, we have ventured to lesser-known regions such as Inner Mongolia and northwest China. At latitudes of 39 to 41 degrees, these areas benefit from long summer days, abundant sunlight that last 15 hours daily during summer, good water sources and unpolluted environments, producing some of the finest, healthiest food.
We believe that everyone deserves access to these nutritious, high-quality products, and we are committed to introducing them simultaneously to Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. We feel that we should not be deprived of good, healthy food, even though it comes from over 6,000 kilometers away.
Great food knows no boundaries, and neither should the pursuit of good health.
